This is a great example of a well-aged wine. Dark crimson in colour turning ruby towards the rim. Retained a good amount of acidity and freshness and opens up well in the glass giving weight. Good flavours of dried currents and fruitcake with earthy and tobacco notes hinting at the wines age. Decant for sediment but no need to let it breath.
